KEMIN ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – EMENA is searching an Accounting Manager/ Finance Manager.

As Accounting manager the principal Purpose of the role is to ensure all accounting entries for the Belgian legal entities are in line with Local and US GAAP, and ensure that account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statements are correctly reflected

Responsibilities

TheAccountant Manager/ Finance Manager at KEMIN will become part of our EMENA Finance team. He/she will have a variety of responsibilities such as:
  • Leading a team of 3 FTE’s in the accounts payable functions for different entities.
  • Responsible for the monthly and year end closing procedures for several Kemin entities in different business units. A-Z
  • Preparation and filing of the annual accounts with specifications and notes
  • Conducting the declaration of Corporate Income tax
  • Assist with correspondence from taxing authorities regarding, assessments, tax notices, audits requests, and other related issues
  • Offer support in the preparation for tax compliancy matters ex. transfer pricing documentations and Local/ Master file
  • Preparation of VAT & Intrastat listings in view of the VAT declarations
  • Ensure VAT and other direct tax compliance with regulations
  • Manage the Accounts Payable team to ensure all transactional invoice and payments processing are correctly and timely done, in line with internal Accounting manual and Kemin guidelines
  • Support the audit activities by preparing the information requirements for internal and external audits.
  • Managing and preparing documentation for the workers council
  • Offer support in budget preparations and with internal control processes & procedures
  • Signaling risks and report them to the Financial Controller
  • Implement improvement opportunities in operational financial processes and administrative processing
Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accountancy/TAX or equivalent by experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory standards (BE GAAP, USGAAP), Finance policies and procedures
  • Understanding of VAT and corporate tax matters
  • Hands on team player
  • Accurate, punctual and flexible person
  • Able to work with and towards deadlines
  • Very strong knowledge of MS office package, knowledge of Infor M3 is a plus
  • Good communication skills verbally and written in English
