Experience and knowledge required are: insatiable appetite for learning new things and improving existing ones, passionate about communication, group dynamics and coaching and you are not afraid to raise issues and drive change, ability to understand the distinction between coaching and mentoring and know when to apply each most successfully, ability to define development plan for a team and to educate others, ability to work in diverse environments across squads, a good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.

Key Responsibilities01 . Introduce the Agile approach and contribute to the development of a vision of the agile way of working for (parts of) SWIFT, taking into account the business needs.
02 . Coach, guide and challenge squads and individuals on the agile methodology to build highly effective squads. Answer questions and provide team members with tools, feedback and means of improvement to catalyse organisational change and optimise new ways of working. Help squads reach their goals by inspiring team members to deliver their maximum potential. Deliver frequent and regular feedback to team members and provide input to the performance evaluations of the team members.
03 . Organize and facilitate workshops/trainings on the agile framework and the new way of working to ensure relevant stakeholders are well informed and prepared to apply the agile methodology.
04 . (Co)develop training material, tools, information and presentations on the agile methodology and support in the update of relevant documentation (e.g. Agile @ SWIFT reference guide, Tribe cookbook)
05 . Assess the agile maturity of trained/coached individuals, squads or (parts of) the organization and evaluate the effectiveness of trainings, coaching and tooling. Work on continuous development and improvement of methods (together with other Agile Coaches) and incorporate them into day-to-day work of the Squads
06 . Expand and link business and agile methodology expertise, apply this expertise and ensure the development and exchange of knowledge within the organisation and among relevant stakeholders
07 . Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders and make sure they are consulted and informed when needed.
08 . Identify issues in applying agile principles and keep an objective perspective on issues and troubleshoots.
09 . Be an active contributor to the Agile Coaches and Agile Transformation team. Help develop an Agile Community of practice. Build and share experience, best practices, learnings within an agile coaches community. Peer-2-peer coaching between agile coaches colleagues.
Competency Profile01. Outcome focused delivery
Internalize and evangelize Squad business outcomes (OKRs) and drive visualisation in team space. Challenge the Squad to make trade-offs to prioritise backlog with highest business value outcome.
02. Challenge
Push squad in action & experimentations vs discussions and definition.
03. Facilitation
Execute and achieve the goals of a 1/1 coaching / squad pre-designed facilitation session.
04. Resources
Identify with PO and senior coach the resources needs to deliver squad business priorities.
05. Team Dynamics
Can present a list of observed team behaviours at squad level.
06. Feedback
Attend all ceremonies and use them as an anchor point to provide daily constructive feedback to squad members to act on it to grow agile maturity. Seeks and acts on own feedback received.
07. Agile expertise
Execute and achieve the goals of ceremonies and artifacts to drive agile mindset. Share ideas to drive agile mindset at Squad level. Reinforce Confluence/Jira usage in the Squad and conduct hard coaching with senior coach support for tools upskilling.
08. Culture
Lead by example and support squad members to continuously push boundaries and act on their learning goals (e.g. define and follow-up on personal development plan).
09. Relationship building
Gain the trust & confidence of the squads. Actively listens.
10. Communication
Share information promptly, clearly and unambiguously.
11. Problem solving
Help squads to identify root causes of problems and break down large challenges into components.
