Introduction

Donaldson is looking for a Transportation Analyst to join our EMEA Transportation team.

We are open for recent graduates or soon to be graduates in logistics or candidates with an equivalence through experience.

Training will be provided, to help you become our EMEA transportation specialist in the coming years.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities of Analyst Transportation Iwill include :

  • Establish and facilitate EMEA / global transportation strategy in coordination with Logistics Manager and Global Center Of Excellence team.
  • Co-ordinate activities with distribution centers and plants to continuously improve the carrier network.
    • In terms of: quality, cost, service level and continuous improvement, monitoring carrier performance and establishing long term contracts with strategic carriers and locally managed carriers.
  • Manage transportation projects which enhance competitive advantage in terms of cost and/or service by regularly analysing spend and benchmarking rates and performance.
  • Organize and sustain operational day-to-day activities of Transportation Department.
  • Consolidated EMEA Freight claim reporting process & identify and drive improvements.
  • Support roll out of an EMEA freight invoice validation & coding software
  • Map individual entity validation processes and requirements
  • Support setup of an EMEA Freight Auditor / payment provider solution.
  • Support EMEA transport organisation in terms of OTD, Damages, cost reduction activities and more

Profile

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Logistics or similar through experience
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in logistics
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Strong affinity for analytics
  • Experience in Power BI and Excel for reporting purposes is a plus
