The Assistant Product Manager will support the Product Managers for:

1. NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES:

  • Help managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing

product and customer requirements and assist in defining the product portfolio.

  • Participate in and support new product development projects.
  • Support to Sales Team in activating the product portfolio.
  • Participating in joint activities with Marketing.

2. OPERATIONAL ASPECTS

  • Understand market trends, competitor actions, changes to offer structure or features,

and/or lifecycle stages.

  • Manage availability and timely update of product management related metrics, assist in

evaluation and document resulting conclusions and actions.

  • Support and report on all product management meetings. Monitor progress on action

points.

  • Manage central information portal so all stakeholders (HQ and BUs) have access to updated information.
  • Assist in business plan setup by coordinating collection of relevant data.

3. STRATEGIC ASPECTS

  • Analyze position and performance of product portfolio.
  • Manage assigned products through various states of the product lifecycle from

commercialization to product maturity and fading out ranges.

4. SPECIFIC DOMAINS

  • Ecological products – circular economy:

o Lead rating of enkelfähig products.
o Organize and monitor coordination with units.
o Support in representing ecological product portfolio and growth towards Haniel.

  • Assortment Management:

o Support in delivering assortment management metrics.

  • Manage governmental driven reporting about R&D and innovation.

PROFILE

  • MSc in business administration, commercial engineer, or textile engineer, sales or other

relevant field

  • In-depth understanding of market and customer feedback
  • Solid knowledge of our products and processes
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and/or relevant software (e.g. SAP)
  • Skilled communicator with ability to liaise with senior level
  • Experience on international project and cross-functional teams
  • Sound program management, analysis, problem resolution, judgement and decision-making skills
  • Travel (approximately 20%)
  • Fluent in English
