In other words, we need you: The ‘make-it-happeners’.We are looking for an Associate Scientist In Vitro Pharmacology - Mechelen,BEScope of the jobYou will be part of a team that supports all drug discovery projects in the identification and the development of cellular and / or biochemical target-based assays to identify and characterize small synthetic molecules. Because of our multidisciplinary organisation, you regularly support cell-based assay development and/or compound evaluation activities.Under supervision of a more senior staff member, you contribute to the design of your experiments by reading literature and protocol information, you execute experiments in an independent way, and analyse your own laboratory work. On top of this practical lab work, you will be involved in the reporting of experimental results within your team and uploading of generated data in the research systemsWho Are You
  • Master or Bachelor Degree (Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology or equivalent) or equivalent through experience
  • Prior expertise in biochemical and / or cellular assays and their development and hands-on experience with a broad range of in vitro assay methods like luminescence, fluorescence, ELISA and/or label-free technologies is highly desirable
  • You have good organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently on a multi-days basis
  • You are a team player, enthusiastic and highly motivated
  • Professional communication in English is a must, both in writing and verbal
  • Experience in working in an industrial setting is an advantage
