We are looking for a Business Developer to join our Energy team based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Brussels Area, Belgium. As a member of our growing Energy Business Development Team, you will play a central role in lead generation and new customer acquisition. In addition to the sales management, you will contribute, as a voice of the prospects, to N-SIDE product vision and the optimization of our value proposition.
Our Energy projects/products aim at promoting and implementing innovative analytics for a better management of electricity markets and grid operations. In a complex and changing energy world, you will help power exchanges, system operators and energy market participants make smart data-driven decisions and become the leaders in their field.
On top of many client interactions, your role at N-SIDE will require frequent alignment with different teams (product, innovation, marketing, …), in an autonomous and proactive way.
What you’ll do
Business Development
- Generate high number of new leads for N-SIDE energy products and services through conference participation, networking and direct prospection
- Play a central role in the preparation of N-SIDE proposals by coordinating the technical and commercial aspects and by optimizing the proposed package (pricing, T&C…) for a winning strategy
- Manage pipeline of opportunities with a structured funnel approach and ensure landing of important deals with a shortened sale cycle
- Leverage N-SIDE CRM (SalesForce) at its full potential in terms of pipeline management, prospect relationship and sales results tracking
- Lead the organization of webinars to showcase our products/use cases and generate traction from our target segments
- Leverage collaboration with the marketing team to increase visibility of N-SIDE and promote our value proposition via a strong content marketing
- Create informative presentations; present and deliver information to potential clients.
Sales Strategy
- Support the development of the Sales Strategy for N-SIDE Energy activities in collaboration with N-SIDE Business Developers and Marketing team
- Put in place new collaborations in terms of Sales Channels including business partnerships with different players in the energy landscape
Prospect Relationship management
- Create a strong relationship with prospects/clients to proactively identify new opportunities
- Test the appetite for new solutions/features with prospects, gather feedback, liaise with Business Product Owner
- Contribute to negotiation and contractual discussion with prospect, in strong collaboration with N-SIDE Legal team
About you
- Master Degree in Engineering and/or Business;
- 2 years or more of technical sales management/business development experience
- Experience in the Energy sector, in particular with power exchange or electricity system operators is a strong plus;
- Interest for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics is a plus;
- Ability to engage and to negotiate with customers and prospects;
- Excellent communication and listening skills and ability to explain clearly technologies and product features, as well as identify challenges at prospects and clients;
- Customer-minded and results-driven;
- Self-driven, proactive and autonomous;
- Strong team player
- Fluent in English is required. Any other language is valuable (e.g. French, Dutch, German, etc).
Travel: Up to 30% of the time, mainly in Europe
