EcoSynth is a dynamic and autonomous chemical company (SME) located in Deinze, Belgium. The company delivers chemical services (new molecule and process development) to a wide variety of industries such as the chemical, pharma, biotech, agro, consumer, fragrances. In addition to our contract research activities, EcoSynth steadily elaborates its proper R&D portfolio with focus on sustainable chemical processes. Main aspirations include the use of continuous flow chemistry as highly controllable process technology, and the implementation of advanced and alternative catalytic technologies such as photochemistry.

Business Developer

To further strengthen its team, EcoSynth is looking for a Business developer. The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop and implement the business strategy
  • Researching, identifying and contacting potential customers
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Attending national and international conferences and fairs (The EU will be the focus area)
  • Actively maintaining the company website and social media channels

Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in business management, chemical engineering, chemistry or equivalent.
  • You have 2 to 5 years’ experience in a sales/business development function.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch and/or French would be a plus
  • You are well organized and can work well with business management systems
  • You are a team player and have the capabilities to build long term relationships
