An internationally known machine builder for the food processing industry, based in the south of Antwerp, is on the lookout for a Business Development Officer to join their team due to expansion. You will join a team of 4,in a niche market, providing a sales service in the range of business development and networking activities to help build even stronger client relationships – and attract new ones.
As the Business Development Officer you will be reporting to the Sales Manager, some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Identify business opportunities by speaking to clients and by keeping abreast of industry developments
- Exceed client expectations by building robust relationships and a detailed understanding of each client’s organisation and needs
- Organise and attend meetings with prospective clients as well as developing existing relationships
- Handle all necessary documentation and contract negations
- Develop deep understanding of the company products by studying all technical aspects
The ideal Business Development Officer has a bachelor or master’s degree. An engineering degree will be considered a strong plus, coupled with at least 2-3 years of experience on a similar job. Candidates ready to diversify and go through a career change are welcomed as well.
Fluency in English is a must, coupled with Dutch. Knowledge in French will be of an asset.
