Are you looking for a new challenge in logistics? Are you open to a temporary employment of at least 3 months?We are currently looking for a new match who takes on the position of Central Logistics Coordinatory in an office based in Mechelen (Belgium).
As a Logistics coordinator, you will focus on the planning and scheduling of gas and chemical shipments, pipeline operations and administrative activities related to the buying and selling of petrochemical products. You take the responsibility for the smooth and cost optimal logistics execution of commercial deals and contracts made by the commercial team and you give guidelines on short-term imbalances and provide optimized logistics instructions to trade partners and logistic service providers.
These Will Be Your Main Responsibilities
- Complete handling of logistics flow, both import and export
- Day to day execution of operational flows of gas and liquid shipping for all European locations
- Provide input, suggestions and logistics expertise to the commercial teams to improve future performance of contracts and work actively on new ideas
- Optimise logistical costs by using optimal shipping arrangements
- Daily monitoring of inventory
- You are in constant contact with various parties, including transport companies, shipping companies, logistics departments, internal departments such as the commercial team, etc.
About You
- You have obtained your Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Logistics/ Economy/Business/Engineering)
- You can already look back on an experience in a similar role (logistics, transport, expedition, etc.)
- You master English on a professional level, knowledge of any additional language is welcome
- Numbers are your second nature; you excel in Excel
- It’s a plus if you have experience in SAP
- You have great analysing, planning and scheduling skills and have an eye for detail
- On top of that you can work independently but are also a team worker and contribute to achieving excellent results
- You demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Start as soon as possible
- Temporary contract of already 3 months
- Full time (40 hour week) with flexible working hours
- 1 day at the office & 4 days of homework
