As our communication officer, you’ll be at the heart of our internal & external communication efforts, bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions.

As our communication officer, you’ll be at the heart of our internal & external communication efforts, bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions.Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Content Creation: Develop engaging written content for both offline and online channels. You’ll also support the planning and distribution of this content through our designated communication channels.
• Collaborative Projects: Work closely with our team on various communication and marketing initiatives, ensuring each project aligns with our overall strategy.
• Tool Development: Contribute to the creation and enhancement of internal and external communication tools, including providing graphic support.
• Social Media Management: Oversee our existing social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram,…) and the company website(s). Develop online communication tools and measure their effectiveness.
• Internal Communication: Coordinate internal communication efforts, such as newsletters, staff magazines, and intranet updates.
• Team Collaboration: Be an integral part of the DEME Internal & External Communication (IEC) team, working together to achieve our goals.

We are looking for a talented individual with the following qualifications and skills:

• Educational Background: A degree in Communications or Marketing, with 1 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and various photo and video editing programs. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint is a plus.
• Digital Savvy: A keen interest in digital and social media, staying updated with the latest trends and tools.
• Creativity and Writing Skills: A creative mind with exceptional writing skills and a knack for error-free content creation.
• Proactive and Detail-Oriented: A proactive approach, striving for quality, with an eye for detail.
• Energetic and Hands-On: Plenty of energy, enthusiasm, and a hands-on mentality to tackle challenges head-on.
• Independent and Resilient: The ability to work independently, handle stress, and manage time effectively.
• Confidentiality: Responsible handling of confidential information.
• Language Skills: Fluency in Dutch and English, with a good knowledge of French (both spoken and written).
