Context of the mission/Objective(s) of the job:

This is a full-time assignment. It will ideally start in September 2024 and is scheduled for one year.

Part of the mission may, in consultation with the manager, be done remotely, but a presence on the Gosselies site for a minimum of 2 days a week is mandatory. Additional days of on-site presence may be requested from the consultant, depending on the needs of the department (on an ad hoc basis). As the Gosselies site is not easily accessible by public transport, possession of a driving licence and a vehicle will be preferable for travel.

Responsibilities

  • Committed to a digital transformation plan and a ISO27001 certificate process, client is looking for a Cybersecurity Expert who will join the ISO (Information Security Officer) department within the IT department to carry out the following tasks:
    • Contribute to the vision and strategy of security within the IT department
    • Design, maintain and implement security and operational solutions, as well as dedicated patterns as part of the IT solution design process (security by design), whether in the context of projects or evolutionary maintenance requests
    • Recommend technological choices in order to guarantee the consistency of security solution developments
    • Define operational security transformation plans with the cross-functional teams (IAM & GRC)
    • Understand security risk assessment in order to incorporate vulnerabilities and mitigations
    • Collaborate with Architecture teams to integrate Architect principles into the Application Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Develop IT security policies, standards and guidelines with client’ Architecture teams
    • Ensure technological monitoring in terms of cybersecurity
    • Train and raise awareness of Operational Security teams on good security practices
    • Organize and coordinate the activities of a team of infra, cloud and security architects
    • Participation in EBIOS workshops and project scoping when necessary

Technical Qualifications And Skills

  • More than 5 years of professional experience in IT security, ideally as a security architect or security expert
  • Experience with security technologies (IDS/IPS, Firewalls, SIEM, etc.) and network security practices
  • In-depth knowledge of security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS1, etc.)
  • Knowledge of security concepts in a cloud environment
  • Ability to design and support the implementation of complex security architectures in on-premise and cloud environments with the Architecture teams
  • Knowledge of cryptography
  • Knowledge of application security

Additional Skills

  • Programming/Scripting skills are a plus (Python, PowerShell, .NET etc.)
  • Knowledge of the energy sector
