As Data Scientist, You Are Responsible For
  • executing advanced computational approaches to build novel and innovative models using advanced analytics techniques, to solve challenging business problems
  • working with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that models are translated into data solutions.
  • collaborating with others in GSK in experimentation in new and emerging data science technologies such as Machine/Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence, exploiting established statistical tools such as multi-variate regression analysis and utilising data modelling and optimisation tools.
  • leveraging structured sources of enterprise data and unstructured external data to provide insights to accelerate process understanding and problem solving in supply chain.
The role will be key to transform GSK vaccines in a data driven business.

Your Responsibilities
  • Contribute to define the supply chain advanced analytics strategy and road map together with the Insight to Impact team and the various teams within Supply chain
  • Design, build, and maintain highly complex quantitative and analytical models to inform/drive strategic direction and/or improve business performance
  • Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
  • Actively participate in all stages of model development from data collection, data quality control, model building, model validation, testing and calibration guidance to business leadership standards solving business problems products and experiences
  • Develop model monitoring plan, monitor statistical model performance, and provide technical solutions
  • Work with interdisciplinary product teams to design, develop, and optimize customer-impacting data solutions
  • Continually learn new analytical skills, techniques and tools to maximise competitive advantage; participate in internal & external technology communities
  • Communicate technical subject matter clearly and concisely to audiences of various backgrounds
  • Provide guidance to data analyst
  • Make analysis and data prediction to support the proactive decision making within the functions (planning, Customer Servcie VDCC)
  • Collaborate with Tech and process owners and support that data is available for analysis
  • Support the building of competencies for DD&A within the community of process owners and users
  • Use excellent written, verbal communication and digital media skills for coordinating across teams and engaging and influencing stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Applied Mathematics, Mathematical engineering or Computer Science Life science and chemical engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in data transformations and analytics projects
  • Supply chain experience and / or manufacturing gained in working with a variety of disciplines throughout the supply chain, preferably in regulated industry / Pharmaceuticals
  • Experience with people related topics (leading teams, matric working,)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including, influencing others, driving change and facilitating business events and trainings.
  • Demonstrated effective, written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and project teams to identify novel solutions to specific project-related needs.
  • Experience with digital processes and systems: learning for and in a digital environment
  • Lean Management or Change management certificates are a plus
  • Learning mindset and flexibility to adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Future oriented, visionary

  • High levels of resilience and personal energy and an ability to energise others.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
  • Diligent and attention to detail
  • Fluent in English is a must. French is a plus
Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics it would be a plus:
  • Master’s degree with a specialization Supply Chain Management, Big Data and Analytics, Statistic, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
