Analyst, Infrastructure Sector
Your work environment
You will work in the Infrastructure sector team based in Brussels. The team aims at providing international and domestic clients with creative multi-product solutions through a broad range of services, and is expert in delivering leveraged buyout, traditional project finance, whole business securitisation and fund financing structures.
The Infrastructure sector team is part of a global Infrastructure franchise that covers primarily funds active in the infrastructure market, as well as infrastructure companies (e.g. airports, regulated utilities, ferries), and contractors active in infrastructure projects. The Brussels team is well integrated with the London team and together cover all clients in the EMEA region. Occasionally the team is also providing support to the US team (based in New York) or the Australian team (based in Sydney).
The position involves contacts with international clients, banks and advisors as well as cooperation with internal teams such as Risk Management, Financial Markets, Transaction Services, Loan Syndications, Agency and support functions. Working in the front office, you will be involved in the origination, structuring, negotiation, execution and monitoring of transactions. You will liaise with ING teams both in Belgium and across the world.

Your key responsibilities
The Analyst will become a full team member within the Infrastructure sector team. Depending on experience, job level and background, the role includes a.o.:
- Assist with pitching, origination and execution of new transactions
- Run sensitivity analysis on complex financial models and occasionally develop our own models
- Draft new business proposals, credit modifications and annual reviews
- Perform client and credit administration primarily through timely, complete and correct data input and data management in the relevant support systems in line with internal procedures and guidelines
- Participate in client and bank calls/meetings
- Side projects such as internal reporting and business development

- Strong academic record, with relevant master’s degree in business economics, financial engineering or law

- Fluent in English verbally and written. Dutch speaking is considered a plus
- Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
- Strong eye for details in all deliverables
- Eager to learn and share knowledge with colleagues
- Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time, often under pressure, and to prioritize resources accordingly
- Current knowledge of the European infrastructure market and/or project/acquisition finance experience is preferable
