Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Security Consultant specializing in Vulnerability Management to join our team in the pharmaceutical sector. This temporary position will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization’s IT security posture remains robust while we establish a fully staffed and trained Center of Excellence (CoE).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the vulnerability management program, including the identification, assessment, and remediation of security vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on various IT assets.
  • Develop and implement strategies for vulnerability prioritization and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address identified vulnerabilities and ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide expert guidance on security best practices and assist in the development of security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor threat landscapes and emerging security vulnerabilities, ensuring proactive measures are in place.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on vulnerability findings and remediation activities for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on vulnerability management.
  • In-depth knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7).
  • Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and exposure (CVE) databases and frameworks (e.g., CVSS).
  • Experience with security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly desirable.
