As a Corporate Development Associate, you will be responsible for providing support in financial modeling, market intelligence, collaboration structuring, due diligence, M&A, and licensing. You will work in close collaboration with the C-suite, business development, and R&D teams to develop structured approaches to capture complex opportunities.
This role requires fast and broad thinking as well as comfort operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be a thought partner to the Univercells group and influence the future direction of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Corporate Development Associate, you will be actively contributing to:
    Performing market intelligence and competitive analysis, evaluating and prioritizing market opportunities and defining value propositions to build a strong product and service portfolio for the business units and filling the M&A pipeline
    Business opportunity evaluation, construction of business cases, and drafting of business plans
    Modeling the financial case associated with market opportunities (NPV, IRR, ROI, etc.)
    Defining, writing, and following project proposals for R&D calls (Regional, National, EU, US) in collaboration with operations in order to raise non-dilutive capital
    Structure and negotiate agreements with partners, conduct due diligence, formulate partnership strategies and present recommendations to the management team, as well as manage transactional and execution steps to close the agreement
    Work closely with scientific/technology teams to define innovative and effective products and services
    Represent our company in (online) congresses or events
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
    Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Bioscience- or Biomedical Engineering, or comparable.
    Additional business degree or MBA
    Professional experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech development or a corporate/business development role in the same industries is a plus
    Scientific interest, with an understanding of biopharmaceuticals, biopharmaceutical drug development process, and the broader healthcare industry
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to deliver key messages and meaningful insights to internal and external audiences including the C-Suite
    Strategic and dynamic thinking
    Ability to shift between big picture vision and detailed data
    Quantitative skills for financial and analytical modeling
    Ability to synthesize numerous qualitative and quantitative information sources into a holistic market view
    Ability to prioritize actions and goals
    Self-motivation, independence and interest for fast-growing companies/SMEs
    Fluent English
