We are looking for a Data Office Transformation Lead who is agile, dynamic and curious to join us in our Data Office team, to be based in either of our Slough (UK) or Brussels (Belgium) offices.

About The Role

You will play a critical role in delivering products to enable the success of the UCB enterprise Data Strategy by providing novel solutions using agile and scrum. This role will enable you to leverage and mediate the transversal input from sources across UCB, use data centric methodology including workflow, training, and data standard models to deliver data capability needs. You will be responsible for identifying challenges and pain points for operational data activities impacting business needs, defining novel approaches, and executing and delivering transversal solutions.

Who You’ll Work With

You will work closely with key business areas to define the Data Strategy and partner with IT to deliver technology components transversally within UCB. This role reports to the Data Office Business Lead and will Collaborate and partner closely with project management, functional senior leaders and initiatives to drive our integrated Data Strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Play a key role in the Agile team by having tactical, operational program-wide responsibilities for Data Office product delivery
  • You will be responsible for excellence in delivering products in support of the Data and Data Office Strategy
  • Act as a delivery-oriented operational Business partner supporting and developing products for data capability which deliver on pressing needs across data analytic science, program/business needs, technology and process enablement
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to gain interest and deliver transversal solutions
  • Significantly contribute to Data Office team preparation: action planning, execution, delivery and communication at leadership forums/decision boards through to broader community wide communication
  • Be an effective member of the Data Office and the broader Digital Cultural initiative

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the followingeducation, experienceandskills

  • Experience in data governance, data operations, data cataloging, domain-level data in at least one domain such as Finance, Research, Development, Talent etc. ideally within a life sciences company
  • Doctorate with 5+ years pharmaceutical industry experience or master’s degree with 10+ years pharmaceutical industry experience, or a similar background with proven successful track record in process improvement or data science project delivery
  • Demonstrated delivery of cross functional initiatives – preference to systems/ data-enabled / advanced analytics / process improvement
  • Strong understanding of data/computing environments and user experience considerations
  • Team oriented individual with ability to thrive in cross-functional environment
  • Robust understanding and perspective into the external/ competitive environment
  • Track record in implementing innovative next generation systems and leading high priority change initiatives
