About Company

Stroom works with a market leading company and foremost a well-known retail brand around the world (mostly Europe and Asia). We all know them, we all know their products, but we don’t know the complexity of their supply chain, nor the recent acquisitions and portfolio expansion they did.

It is clear where I am heading. Supply chain needs an overhaul, the framework is in place but it can use a bit of paint, some new tires and a good driver. They recently hired a new Supply Chain Director for the Benelux region. Someone very capable of doing the above, but in need of people in his team to work with him to reach these goals. Currently he is hiring a Demand & Supply Planning Manager (to be based in Liège or Antwerp) to manage a team of, you guessed it, Demand Planners & Supply Planners. People management is one thing, change management is another.

Job Description

In this role you will lead the transformation of the demand & supply organization by building capabilities to increase performance, identifying and implementing key processes (S&OP, S&OE), working towards a more proactive and analytical approach in the supply chain team. A lot of work to be done in a very interesting context. You are someone who works with your team, tries to understand their resistance and takes it away if possible. Show them the way towards a better and optimized supply chain. If that means: ditch the excel files and adapt to the system, so be it :).

Ideal Candidate

Requirements
  • Strong expertise in demand planning and at least the basics of supply planning – ideally 5 – 10 years of experience.
  • Experience with directly or indirectly managing or coordinating supply chain teams. The organization is very people minded, so coaching will be an important part of the job.
  • An Analytical and pragmatic approach will be most useful.
  • Patience and enthusiasm, well balanced. I think change management requires both.
  • French & English needs to be on a professional level, Dutch is a nice plus.

Salary range: 65K – 90K EUR/year + company car and fringe benefits.
