- Experience in litigation/regulatory investigations and enforcement, and internal investigations and incidents.
- Experience in addressing, minimizing, and avoiding regulatory risk.
- Experience in a leadership/management role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in crisis management and compliance.
- Experience working at a US headquartered public company.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to be action-oriented and seek to meet high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, analytical, and investigative skills.
About the job
Alphabet’s Regulatory Response, Investigations and Strategy team (ARRIS) addresses issues that are both high-risk (as defined by Alphabet’s Enterprise Risk Management model) and involve regulatory scrutiny, enforcement actions, and other proceedings like shareholder litigation, internal investigations, and data incidents, as well as other emerging risks across Alphabet and globally. That includes matters that relate to our people; our products; our users, legislators and society; and our ecosystem.
As the Director for EMEA Alphabet Regulatory Response, Investigations and Strategy, you will establish the team’s presence in EMEA and will address emerging and highest risk across the region, including handling investigations, litigation, regulatory scrutiny and enforcement actions pertaining to we how manage, support and respond to our workforce, the actions and content of our users, how we build our products, and how we ensure the integrity of our ecosystem. You will work closely with ARRIS’s US and APAC-based leads, as well as Google and Alphabet’s Trust & Safety, Legal, Public Policy, Office of Compliance & Integrity, Communications, Marketing, Product and Engineering teams to identify, solve and help the company adapt to Alphabet’s highest risks.

Responsibilities
- Respond to regulatory scrutiny, enforcement actions, and other proceedings in EMEA.
- Manage investigations and incidents in EMEA.
- Advise on the policies and processes by which Alphabet handles regulatory scrutiny, internal investigations, and significant incidents in EMEA.
- Evaluate potential or emerging internal and external risk in EMEA and proactively undertake and strategically manage projects to address that risk and increase Alphabet’s resilience to that risk.
