We have an exciting career opportunity for an EHS Manager to join our leadership team in our Odyssea pharma plant in Liège, Belgium. At AbbVie/ Odyssea Pharma sprl, we are recognised as a centre of excellence for women’s health, offering the GMP manufacturing of the Levosert ™ hormonal intrauterine device and a quality and regulatory expertise from a dedicated site. We focus on innovative new technologies and through our high performing team; we develop and deliver products and processes to support AbbVie’s wider global needs.
In the role of EHS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring we have a strong integrated culture of EHS where our employees and community are protected and that as employees, we all recognise that EHS is everyone’s responsibility onsite.
Some of your key responsibilities would be:
- Establish a "safety culture" and be the safety contact person for all employees to ensure best in class working environment
- Ensure effective environmental plan and waste management is in place
- Develop comprehensive security and prevention plan to protect employees and site as appropriate
- Analyse manufacturing processes, methods and working conditions to propose measures to limit risks, partnering with leaders to ensure compliance
- Analyze work accidents and ensure that corrective actions are taken
- Ensure all company, legal and regulatory safety conditions are followed, in collaboration with employees and leadership team
- Reporting to local and global management and competent authorities
- Responsible for the continuous training of personnel in matters of safety and the environment
