Alphamin, a business unit of Brenntagis an international distributor and developer of special polymers and waxes with headquarters in Wavre. Development and distribution are always tailored to the customer. Customers are spread across different sectors and niche markets across the continents. The organization has its own application center/lab in Belgium that is fully equipped with the most modern tools, which enables them to provide up-to-date research, development and quality control services to their commercial partners.
In 2018, Alphamin SA, and its subsidiary Alphamin Inc. (based in New Jersey, USA), were acquired by Brenntag, a global leader in the distribution of chemicals and ingredients. However, Alphamin will continue to operate under its own name. To strengthen the sales team, we are today looking for an External Account Manager for the Benelux – Spain – United Kingdom region.
PROFILE
- Experienced – You are in possession of a bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in a chemical field and have already had a first international commercial work experience in a small SME. Knowledge of bitumen, polymers, waxing, coatings and adhesives is a plus;
- Technical – you are interested in the technical aspects of Alphamin’s extensive product range;
- Commercial – you are a born negotiator and are customer-oriented with an eye for new opportunities;
- Independent – but can also work well in a team;
- Flexible – you are willing to travel on a regular basis (up to 50%) to visit European customers;
- You have good knowledge of or affinity with SAP software;
- Multilingual – You are fluent in Engels. Knowledge of Spanish is a great asset. Knowledge of one or more of the following languages is a plus: German, French or Dutch.
- Ambitious – hands-on – flexible – dynamic – stress-resistant – sincere.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the promotion, sales and development of Alphamin’s specialty products (bitumen, polymers, waxes, coatings and adhesives);
- Manage the export of specialty products to Europe or overseas regions, a focus on the region assigned to you (with focus on the Benelux – Spain – UK region);
- Expand the existing customer portfolio and be the point of contact for key accounts;
- Going on a national and international customer visit;
- Manage your own calendar and appointments;
- Follow up on sales files from the order intake to the final delivery;
- Drawing up sales plans and translating them into concrete sales actions;
- Actively searching for new markets and sales opportunities;
- Collaborating with the R&D department and technical customer contacts;
- Reporting to the Business Manager.
