Daikin Europe is looking for a Facility Engineer (F/M) that will be operating in EDQ (Quality department) of the Development division

We are looking for an engineer who will assist with the execution of projects (investments) and the operational jobs of the testrooms at Ostend and in a later stage at Ghent.

Context

Daikin has decided that the total global development of the heating products will be organised and executed in Daikin Europe . For that reason our testrooms must be modified in Ostend and in a later stage new testrooms will be built in Ghent. As a facility section we must fill in the requirements of the tests that are necessary to realise qualitative products and developments

Job description

You will be part of the facility section within the EDQ department at Ostend :

• General upkeep and maintenance of the machineparc and testrooms within Ostend
• Assist in the coordination and execution of the maintenance and repair activities of the facility section.
• Support and assist management in the field of health and safety so that the company meets its legal obligations, and lead us on a continuous improvement path leading to increasing Health and safety performance levels
• Your job will require that you think proactively about innovations and you will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of improvement projects.

Your profile

• You have a broad interest going from construction-technical issues to HVAC and electrical installations, …;
• You hold a Master Degree Industrial Engineer / Industrial Sciences. Or are equal through experience.
• A knowledge of automatisation is a plus.
• You have a hands-on mentality and a practical and flexible approach towards encountered issues in order to bring the assignments to a high qualitative result.
• You take initiative and responsibility towards the assigned projects.
• You have strong communication skills that enable you to create goodwill with internal & external partners in order to execute your projects according to plan
• You are a problem solver and have strong planning & organization skills.
• You have good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Autocad and a basic knowledge of facility-specific supporting software.
• A good knowledge of English and Dutch (both written and spoken) is essential as you must be able to communicate fluently with your colleagues.
