OverviewPepsiCo in Veurne is recruiting a Factory Hygine Inspector. In this role you will support the implementation of the food safety agenda and support operations to achieve the Quality Performance targets (quality and legal food safety requirements) in the whole plant.In addition you will also:
  • Develop sanitation procedures and methods to comply with AIB standard and legal food safety requirements.
  • Set up planning for week and weekend cleaning and execute inspections after cleaning, technical interventions and refurbishment of factory.
  • Evaluate and improve the performance and service of the sanitation company and of the cleaning chemicals supplier.
  • Own the pest control program, follow-up and keep close contacts with external pest control company.
Responsibilities
  • Accountable to give support to the food safety agenda and AIB standard within the plant. Support operations to achieve the Food Safety targets (AIB, consumer complaints and legal food safety requirements).
  • Organize, inspect and audit the sanitation program for the whole plant infrastructure and all installations. Follow-up the weekly cleaning of the production installations executed by an external company during weekend and lead the other cleaning activities related to the plant infrastructure, as described in the master cleaning schedule or when required.
  • Execute the monthly self inspections program, perform Root Cause Aanalyses and define Corrective Actions & Preventive Actions. Follow up on actions with stakeholders to resolve high priorities ASAP and report to Food Safety Manager.
  • Follow up Execute inspections after cleaning, technical interventions and refurbishment of factory. Support and advise production on cleaning performed during production changes. Evaluate condition of cleaning equipment, organize trials for new equipment and improvements in cleaning chemicals management.
  • Report results and action plans to food safety manager.
  • Report food safety non conformancys and cleaning issues in the daily QCDM meeting. Use 5Y (5WHY) analysis to determine the root cause and define CA & PA. Follow up long term issues in the TE meetings.
  • Execute micro sampling for the PEM program and cleaning validations
  • Deliver allergen management training to cleaning company to improve compliance to the standards.
  • Responsible for purchase, GR and reconcile of chemicals & small tools within budget.
  • Own the pest control program, follow-up and keep close contacts with external pest control company. Test and implement new methods in cooperation with pest control company. Follow up pest control reports and audit the factory according to pest control standards (AIB standard and Belgian & European law requirements). Give advice and coordinate with pest control company in case of pest incidents.
  • Provide training to new employees during the introduction days.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and accuracy with application of food safety regulatory matters;
  • Have the right attitude towards hygiene and food safety (rigorous and consequent), be the role model;
  • Dutch – French – English languages;
  • Audit skills (AIB, FSSCK22000, quality, food safety and HACCP);
  • Basic technical knowledge and insights;
  • Motivate teams, be result driven, have constructive but critical attitude;
  • Flexible attitude, including flexible working schedule (week-end work);
  • Analytical thinking skills, work with numbers;
  • Insights in the process to determine root cause of cleaning issues
  • Good PC-skills (Word, Excel, Power Point).
