Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: You will lead and collaborate with a team of two financial administrators, while also coordinating with external parties for the administration of our foreign entities.
• Journal Entries & Bank Payments: Prepare and adjust more complex manual journal entries as required and review bank payments to maintain financial accuracy.
• Financial Closure & Consolidation: Ensure the monthly financial closure of our administration, including the consolidation of group companies, to provide a comprehensive financial picture.
• Reconciliation & Cash Flow: Oversee proper reconciliation between financial administration and sub-administration while focusing on cash flow generation reconciliation.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare external monthly financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the analysis of reported numbers.
• Year-End Financial Statements: Take charge of preparing year-end (consolidated) financial statements in accordance with both BE GAAP and IFRS.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance accounting processes and procedures, driving increased productivity and accuracy.
• Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality rules, SOPs, and internal control compliance to maintain financial integrity.
• Audit Process: Contribute to the annual external audit process, showcasing your expertise in financial controls.
• New Controls Setup: Implement new internal controls and optimize existing ones to further strengthen our financial systems.
  
  

Job Requirements

Your characteristics:

• Motivated to be part of the global team of Cerba Research
• Detail-oriented
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• At least 4 years of experience in a financial controlling position or as an auditor (preferably from BIG 4).
• GAAP Knowledge: proficient in BE GAAP standards; familiarity with IFRS is a strong asset.
• Analytical Skills: possess excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
• Tech-Savvy: extended knowledge of Excel, while familiarity with PowerBi is a strong advantage.
• Proactive & Result-Oriented: take initiative, driven, and possess a result-oriented attitude.
• Collaborative: excel working in the team while maintaining the ability to work independently.
• Dedicated Learner: with dedication and enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth.
• Language Skills: you are fluent in English, with proficiency in either Dutch and/or French.
