A key member of the Operation Control Center (OCC), assisting the Head of OCC, acts as a focal point for operations, meetings, projects etc. Coordinates and supports in functions such as regulatory interactions and audits, departmental administration, organizes, coordinates and follows up on action items and projects.

Main Responsibilities

Operations Control, Flight Dispatch and Mission Support
  • As Operations Controller or Flight Dispatcher, or otherwise designated, steer daily operation across Brussels Airlines’ 24/7 network effectively to ensure safe, reliable & cost-efficient operations.
Additional Responsibilities

Procedures and Coordination
  • Supervises daily operational performance based on reporting from the operational units. Generates and initiates actions, solutions and recommendations towards the operational units and takes care of the Operational meetings open item list
  • Internal coordination and follow up of implementation of agreed actions in relation to decisions taken in department.
  • Compose, edit and/or maintain the OCC Internal Procedures Manual (IPM) and Working Procedures (WP)
  • Coordinates and follows up the approval process prior opening of new charter or scheduled destinations via the High Level Feasibility Check
  • Monitors corrective action reports issued by the Safety and Compliance Department
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective plans accordingly
Process Management
  • Follows up of internal and external tasks as well as act as interface OCC and internal & external stakeholders on a professional level and in due regard of given deadlines
  • Analyzes process weaknesses, providing profound feedback to stakeholders
  • Implement process of recommendations made by the Flight Safety department or other required process changes
  • Drives Continuous Improvement
Project Management (on demand)
  • Establishes overall coordination, steering and facilitating of meetings, workshops and structure within the OCC department
  • Supervises the continuation and progress of running projects within OCC
  • Collects and analyse the required information, coordinates the internal teams and stakeholders and when necessary, challenges to ensure quality and content of presentations
  • Initiates and supports the development of the OCC department with regards to efficient and integrated working
Administration
  • Invoicing approval follow-up
  • External service supplier co-ordination, to ensure financial discipline
  • Attend and cooperate in internal meeting structures
  • Facilitating and planning audits (aircraft visits, BCAA, IOSA, CARA, etc)
  • BCAA contact point
  • Participates to the SAG Flight Operations as minute taker
ProfileRequirements
  • Holds an FOO Certificate (ICAO Doc 10106) or ATPL licence
  • Bachelor degree
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Performance-driven and solution-oriented
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Quick analytical thinker with strong stress-resistance
  • Team player; above-average flexibility and assertiveness
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills, able to communicate successfully with people on all levels in all departments
  • Self- motivated, pro-active and highly organized
  • Highly computer literate; excellent knowledge of MS Office Tools
  • Able to work on shifts (early/late/night)
