A company active in the Fashion sector is currently looking to hire a Head of Accounting to join their offices in the Walloon Brabant. Thanks to your experience in accounting and in management, you will be the perfect addition to the company and will have an essential role in it.

Your main responsibilities as the new Head of Accounting will include:

  • Responsibility for the statutory accounting from A to Z and accounting follow-up of the group companies
  • Contact with internal and external suppliers and customers
  • Accuracy of accounts in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Day-to-day management of the accounting department and supervision of the staff (6 people)
  • Organisation, supervision and verification of all team operations including monthly and annual closing operations of the 10 entities
  • Daily follow-up of the treasury, preparation of payment processes
  • Continuous improvement of the financial procedures of all departments (commercial (shops, e-commerce), purchasing, logistics...)
  • Ensure sufficient training of the team to support these procedures

Your profile:

  • No Master’s requiered, previous professional experience prevail
  • You have relevant experience in Consolidation and reporting roles.
  • You are fluent in French, knowledge of English is very important.

Your strengths:

  • Thanks to your expertise in Excel, you feel able to take the lead of the consolidation process
  • You are ambitious and hands-on, you are always ahead and thinking about the next steps
  • Through your previous experience you have built a knowledge of BEGAAP and IFRS (desired)
  • You are proactive, solution oriented minded and have a good resistance to stress
  • You have a good ability to plan, organise and play attention to details
