Position

Directly reporting to the P&C BeNeLux Chief Financial Officer and supporting the P&C BeNeLux General Managers, the Head of FP&A works with both FP&A management personnel and the Chief Finance Officer in ensuring that there is compliance with all accounting policies both internal and external and in ensuring that forecasts are in order to aid senior management in their decision making.

The role of the Head of FP&A is twofold, as, in addition to managing the team of Brand FP&A professionals, he/she is also responsible for a specific Financial Controlling scope as detailed further below.

He/she is autonomous in his/her controlling role and proactive in his/her mission to continuously improve the organization processes to pilot its activity profitability.

The position is based in our Brussels’ office with regular travels to our Rotterdam’s office in the Netherlands.

Missions

P&C BeNeLux FP&A Team Management

  • Lead the FP&A team, overseeing all activities and ensuring smooth execution of functions.
  • Motivate, manage, and control the FP&A team, composed of 4 professionals, who remain the key contact and business partner of the brand they work for, for the purpose of developing efficiency with a view of further harmonizing reports & processes and of further optimizing the business’s profitability.
  • Work to avail a favorable departmental climate by adopting communication and integration processes, motivational practices, fair treatment, and excellent interpersonal relations with FP&A personnel.
  • Ensure that all financial activities, records, and reports in the business accurately represent the business’s financial state of affairs, hand-in-hand with the Chief Finance Officer and relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead any ad hoc analysis and projects aiming at improving financial information for appropriate decision and alert on any risks.

Financial Planning & Analysis: Parfums Christian Dior BeNeLux

Controlling and analyses of business performance, with the help of a Junior Controller, including:

  • Variance analysis on revenues, margins and operating costs,
  • Activity profitability (by customer and by product line),
  • Monitoring of the departments running costs,
  • Monitoring of the monthly closings in close cooperation with the Accounting team (accurate and timely preparation of full financial statements: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow including monthly accruals documentation),
  • Monitoring and revising of budgeting processes with General Manager,
  • Preparation of the monthly management reports,
  • Continuous support to the Marketing team on Advertising & Promotions expenses follow-up,
  • Financial evaluation of investment projects (CapEx),
  • Supervising the controlling/forecast of the legal entity of Luxembourg (responsibility of Junior Controller)
  • Various ad-hoc reporting & analysis.

Profil

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in finance / controlling,
  • Analytical and critical (ability to challenge),
  • Exigent and curious,
  • Dynamic, flexible and driven to succeed. Proactive in approach and self-motivated,
  • Quick learner, ability to grasp key business drivers and communicate in a focused manner,
  • Able to look outside the box, to find creative solutions to diverse problems,
  • Excellent communication skills, in person and in writing,
  • Capable of managing multiple deadlines with proven organizational skills,
  • Strong team player and strong relationship builder,
  • Fluent spoken and written in French and English (Dutch is a plus),
  • Professional Excel and PowerPoint skills.
