  • Assist the Institution in the follow-up and co-ordination of Infosec/IT Security-related matters, acting as a facilitator to converge all efforts towards the project’s objectives;
  • Translate security requirements into technical requirements;
  • Verify compliancy of the Institution’s information and information systems with the Commission’s security policy;
  • Assess the performance of the contractors in the implementation of the Institution’s security requirements;
  • Review the quality and conformance of the technical deliverables (specification, software, documentation, security plans) and services with a focus on security and continuity;
  • Follow up the operations and advise on business continuity and disaster recovery;
  • Assist the Institution in the definition of its Information Systems Security Management (ISSM);
  • Clarify issues and prevent potential security incidents;
  • Perform technical security assessment and studies;
  • Propose technical solutions in security-related areas (i.e. privileged identity, firewalls, vulnerability management);
  • Participate in meetings with the Institution’s contractors, Member States and/or other partners
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in IT or related field with a minimum of 13 years of professional IT security experience and appropariate knowledge of technology innovation for security management and related products, matured in complex and structured organisations with outsourced services and proven with practical activities
  • Minimum 4 years of extensive experience in handling IT security incidents.
  • Be able to translate complex technical terms/solutions to simple meanings and/or business language;
  • Be able to coach/persuade 3rd party contractors security experts to achieve Institution’s interests and security contract requirements;
  • Be able to have a 360 degrees view in all aspects of IT;
  • IT audit, security methodologies and risk management experience (e.g ISO 2700X:2013, CobIT, etc) is required in highly regulated areas such as banking and financial services
  • Certification in IT systems’ audit area (such as CISA, CISSP etc.);
  • Be able to securely integrate different platforms with diverse business needs; Understand both secure software development, and platforms security;
  • Hands on knowledge on specific security platforms like: SPLUNK, Tenable vulnerability scanner, Service Now, web application firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, privileged identity management, PKI infrastructure for certificates management would be considered as strong asset
  • Knowledge of data privacy (GDPR, IDPO)
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering IT security and BCP/DRP dashboards
  • very good knowledge of Network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with IT projects, preferably in the field of Excise, Customs and Taxation business or accounting would be an asset
  • Certification in IT Governance (such as CGEIT, CGRC etc.) is a definite asset;
  • Additional desirable assets: experience in ITIL, experience in implementation and nenforcement of Service Level Agreements (SLA), experience as a technical writer, experience in software development, SDLC, systems’ and network engineering;
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English is required
