What will you do?

The main purpose of this position within ADESA is to guarantee compliancy with national and European VAT regulations and to optimize, report and control the companies’ policies, processes and procedures. You will report directly to the CFO. Your main focus of this function incorporated in the ADESA business will be:

• Responsible for the compliancy of ADESA with European General Data Protection Regulations
• Analyze and evaluate the company processes and policies and optimize where possible
• Daily follow up on the compliance with the company’s main processes and procedures
• Monthly check-up of the completeness of VAT files and report inconsistencies
• Coordinate external audits, analyze the results and roll-out necessary actions
• Act as VAT-expert for the company and train the business
• Be the contact person of local and international tax administrations and governmental authorities
• Monthly reporting to CFO and CEO

Who are you?

• You have a Master’s degree in Economics or Accountancy - or equal by experience
• You have a first work experience in (internal) audit or are very interested in this field
• You are familiar with EU VAT regulation and intra-community deliveries - or willing to learn
• You have a strong analytical mindset
• You are an enthusiastic person with good communication skills
• You know how to prioritize and work in a structured and organized way
• You can work independently - with the necessary guidance
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken), Dutch is a plus but not mandatory. Knowledge of any other European language is welcome.
• You are willing to travel to affiliates (up to 25%)
