Internship (6 months) - Logistics Procurement EMEA

We are looking for:

• You will join a team of 9 people, with each their own specialities.
• As an intern, you will get the chance to learn operational procurement tasks by supporting the category buyers in different domains (in this case: ROAD logistics primarily with options to get acquainted with other categories after a while such as Rail, Barge, Warehousing, Onsite logistics, Rental, etc)

The missions consist of:

• Helping compare data in SAP with the one in Convergence, Spreadsheet skills required (Excel, Google sheet, etc)
• Analysing internal documentation and providing ‘market intelligence’ via Google search
• Support in actual “Category Strategy” elaboration & presentation for the EMEA and Global procurement scope
• When proven proficient, also support in actual buyer activities with day to day responsibilities such as Analytical tasks, data management, communication with our internal clients (business side) and suppliers.

• Once having made proof of being up to the task, the candidate will also participate in the key activities including the sourcing, selection, negotiation, contracting and portfolio managing tasks of approved logistics suppliers and collaborating with the businesses supply chains to help optimize their logistics and freight spend
• Thinking along of new concepts to improve ways of working, sustainability, etc

You will bring:

• Master degree in economics, business or procurement at University level or Business School.
• A previous experience (internship) in procurement would be ideal.
• English is the working language and any additional language (French, Dutch, German, Italian) is an extra advantage.
• You have sound business logic and good mathematical skills.
• You are a problem solver and IT savvy (Excel, G-sheets, analytics, SAP)
• Most importantly, the ideal candidate is a strong teamplayer, with a hands-on mentality and eager to succeed
