Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW) Brussels, a leading and award-winning integrated public affairs and communications consultancy, is hiring for a six-month internship to join our Consumer & Corporate Communications Practice. The start date for the internship is August-September 2021.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team with the daily account management of clients in multi-market European projects, as well as in Belgium and Luxembourg.
  • Support and execute all necessary tasks on client accounts under the supervision of the client leader or project manager
  • Carry out media and stakeholder monitoring, research and analysis of issues, developments and trends to ensure the client is alerted on relevant topics relevant to the clients
  • Manage the creation and update of media lists for client projects
  • Identify, manage and pitch media stories for our clients to media and stakeholders
  • Support in preparation of documents for clients including monitoring report, clippings report, event trackers, etc.
  • Write media materials in French and be able to change texts in Dutch and English with native speaker support: press releases, media pitches, media profiles, factsheets and customer stories
  • Attend and support the development of new business proposals coming in through research and participation in brainstorming sessions
  • Draft minutes for internal and external meetings or events
  • Gain understanding of the client’s business, challenges and opportunities

  • Fluency in French, with a good understanding of Dutch
  • Excellent communications skills in English (C1) - both spoken and written
  • Interest in the Belgian media and institutional landscape
  • Good at time management & prioritisation

  • Critical thinking with a desire and ability to learn within a fast-paced team environment
