Introductie

The domain, IT Data & Analytics, is actively building a next-generation data platform, using

the latest technologies from a cloud perspective. This platform must be able to handle a

wide variety of data sources in order to meet all operational, and analytical, in a flexible and

efficient manner.

As Azure data engineer you actively contribute in the set-up of this new data platform by

being responsible to implement components, processes and services aiming to support our

roadmap. You gather, analyze and challenge the requirements. You translate these

requirements according the design & security principles and implement future proof

solutions in an agile way of working.

Organisatie

Your main responsibilities as IT Azure Data engineer will be:

understand the requirements and priorities of the Data & Analytics domain in order to actively participate in the design of the new data platform;
contribute to the analysis and implementation of our data platform and our (advanced) roadmaps;
ensure that the data platform has high levels of robustness, performance, security, scalability, maintainability and reuse;
participate in development throughout the implementation process;

Profil

you are passionate about IT, especially technological aspects;
you like to collaborate on a common goal within a team, but you also like to work
independently and take ownership of certain objectives;
you enjoy working in a multicultural team;
you have a good mix of development skills (automation, version control, CI / CD, testing
…);
you have a proven experience in area of data with implementation of Microsoft Cloud
solutions (Azure data factory, Azure data lake, Azure databricks, Azure event hub, Azure
Synapse);
Knowledge of different databases, data warehouses and Microsoft cloud solutions;
You are able to work independently and you have a team spirit;
Good communication skills, both with technical and non-technical interlocutors;
Assertive and positive-thinking;
Sense of organization ; participation in the functional or hierarchical management of the
members of the project team;
