Job description:

  • Purchasing of parts and materials which are commonly used by the plants in European Africa region
  • Supplier selection based on the request coming from the plants for new projects
  • Contract management with the selected suppliers
  • Periodical price updateswith suppliers
  • Executing the APR (annual price review) negotiations with suppliers
  • Performing annual manufacturing budget planning for parts and materials purchased
  • Making regional and global benchmarks for responsible scope commodities and identifying the strong and weak points to develop improvement plan securing the long term competitiveness and sustainability.
  • Developing cost standards for commodities based on regional and global benchmarks
  • Performing cost reduction activities for the parts/materials
  • Change management for the suppliers, parts and materials
  • Monitoring supplier’s financial stability

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, industrial engineering or business administration
  • Business fluency in English
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proactiveness to communicate and coordinate supplier selection activities with internal departments
  • Interest in automotive industry, how things are made and low cost are built
  • Flexibility and adaptability are very strong assets for this function
  • Ability to build relationships with good negotiation skills
