Overview:
Responsibilities:
The Key Account Managergenerates revenues by selling the LSG product range into BioPharma accounts or assigned industrial key accounts related to Pharma market in the allocated territory, including multi country large key accounts. Managing and developing customer relationships to grow the business, as well as prospect for new customers or new business particular in the BioPharma market segment. The role requires selling at all levels with the strategic purchasing, technical, and commercial stakeholders all requiring a distinct sales approach in these mostly complex organizations. Managing all aspects of the local engagement between Bio-Rad and the customers, from Scientist level up to executive and C-level, throughout all relevant business units in order to grow the LSG products and services presence as well as sales within these accounts.
Manage key accounts in the assigned region (list of customers), some of which may span to other global geographies.

Achieve sales targets in allocated territories and with assigned customers
Take ownership of the entire sales cycle for instrumentation, consumables and service.
This includes prospecting for new opportunities, building value in Bio-Rad’s technology
with the customer, attending / supporting instrument demonstrations, accurately
maintaining opportunities in our CRM (SFDC), reviewing opportunity funnel / forecasting
with manager and closing new business
Develop and maintain relationships with BioPharma accounts, visiting customers on a
regular basis at their accounts and/or at scientific conferences and meetings
Execute the sales strategy in alignment with the EMEA BPA Sales Leadership, local
EMEA Marketing teams and the global Life Science division
Identify new business and sales opportunities across all Bio-Rad Life Science product

Facilitate customer queries and work with relevant business partners to ensure customer
success, ensuring that all necessary resources are used efficiently in order to increase
Bio-Rad Life Science business
Work closely with the local Field Application Specialists, the BioPharma Sales Specialists
and other internal stakeholders to ensure a superior customer experience
Report in to the EMEA BioPharma Sales Manager based in the US

Key Qualifications:
Preferred Master’s degree or equivalent in a life science or related field
Proven successful field sales experience selling capital instrumentation
(€100K+) and reagents in life science to biotech/pharmaceutical companies
Knowledge of Cell and Gene Therapy as experience selling into regulated environments
(FDA / EMA)

Experience
Proven successful field sales experience in laboratory equipment, reagents or services to life science and drug discovery researchers in academic and biotech/pharmaceutical companies – may consider related biological/analytical field sales support experience in lieu of direct sales experience
Proficiency in organizing time and territory activities in order to efficiently maximize sales
results
Ability to increase sales and customer penetration while working with multiple projects
under tight deadlines
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across cultures and with diverse functions
Excellent communication skills (verbal / written) in particular with Flemish, French and English and a positive attitude
Strategic thinker and effective negotiator
Proficient in MS Office and SFDC
