The purpose of the role

Griffith Foods is looking for an entrepreneurial spirit to further develop the customer relationship at several Key Snack accounts within the Benelux and Scandinavia.

Sells Griffith Foods seasonings, sauces & coating systems with existing and new customers to achieve volume and margin in line with the defined strategy and budgets.

He/she feels energized by exploring new opportunities and accelerating topline sales. Market knowledge and a broad relevant network in the food industry are key.

Work together with sales, product development and marketing to execute the strategy for our the Market Segment Snacks.

Responsibilities

Manage the relationship with some Key customer; this includes

  • Create new snacks together with the customer, strong focus on Healthy snacking with great taste
  • Organize inspiration session for the customer together with the Go-to-Market team
  • Active prospecting and detection of new opportunities; opening doors at targeted prospects
  • Promote our Snack Innovations
  • Manage all development projects/development pipeline
  • Account management: maintain and grow current revenue and margins
  • Plan and co-ordinate customer visits
  • Create strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders of the customer
  • Negotiate prices and follow-up of the offers/contracts
  • Manage all relevant internal relationships
  • Follows the developments in the market and at the competition
  • Participates actively in sales meetings to obtain and share information
  • Responsible for building and maintaining account plans + provide sales-reports as required
  • Proactive involvement in setting future strategic direction of the GF snacks business

  • Exchange relevant information with internal stakeholders to service the external customer in the best way, this includes:

  • Management of Product Development pipeline in CRM
  • Communicate around any supply or quality issues
  • Prepare forecasts and budgets
  • Support wider sales team as required

  • Proactively and visibly supports the Health and Safety standards, rules and values of the organisation.

    Your profile
    • Degree level preferred but will balance with relevant food industry experience
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in B2B ingredient sales/development within the Northern Europe Snack industry
    • Training is provided in house and coaching will be provided by the sales team
    • The jobholder will have an in-depth knowledge of the products, their characteristics and the market
    • Good knowledge of English and Dutch, knowledge of other European languages is a plus
    • Proactive mindset, can work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong commercial acumen, ability to successfully negotiate
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and organizational abilities
    • Computer Skills: normal skills required on MS Office
    • Driving license
