As a launch coordinator you are responsible for streamlining all activities related to the launch supply of new products in the Puurs site . The candidate should have an overview over these activities from PPQ to launch supply, after which a handover is performed towards the routine business operations. The role also includes coordinating annual strain changes for Flu and Covid vaccines.

Some of the aspects of the launch role are listed below:

  • Coordination of production readiness for launch supply
  • Ensure material availability for the launch supply
  • Commercial items set-up: Compliant testing, financials flows
  • Interacts strongly with supply chain:
    • Label management
    • SAP demands (components, raw materials) and procurement interface
    • Market specific demands (IFU’s)
    • Coordinate and follow-up Shipments
    • financial flows
  • Interacts with QO launch (eg Start-up complaint handling, OMCL and CBER release testing, ..)
  • Interacts strongly with exernal Launch Excellence groups: Pro-active forecast, capacity
  • Interacts with finance (at risk Mfg, AFWs) , warehouse (DS inventory), Opex (capacity), scheduling (short term production)
  • Interaction with project leads (2nd generation, capital projects)
  • Packaging PQ, PV coordination in relation to launch
  • PAI batch preparation (hands on) + Query response coordination and CAPA plan
  • Shipping lane qualification

Some aspects of strain change coordination:

  • seasonal strain change coordination (2 times/year for Flu, 1 time/year for Covid)
  • Item set-up
  • Timeline management from confirmatory batch release CoA
  • Artwork readiness
  • interfacing with global supply chain around seasonal strain changes

De Pfizer site in Puurs is één van de grootste productie- en verpakkingssites van Pfizer wereldwijd, gespecialiseerd in aseptische productie en verpakking. Jaarlijks worden in Puurs meer dan 400 miljoen doses injecteerbare vaccins en medicijnen geproduceerd. Deze zijn ter plaatse verpakt in ampullen, flacons, plastic flessen, spuiten en patronen voor pennen.

De medicijnen die in Puurs worden gemaakt, zijn bestemd voor patiënten in meer dan 170 landen wereldwijd. 30% van de productie uit Puurs is bestemd voor ontwikkelingslanden, in samenwerking met UNICEF, WHO, GAVI en ngo’s.

Met het gebruik van twee windturbines, zonnepanelen en een warmtekrachtcentrale richten we ons op hernieuwbare energie.
