The European School Brussels I – Uccle site - is recruiting a Primary Learning Support Teacherfor the Hungarian-speaking section, 2 year-fixed term contract.

The European Schools are an intergovernmental organization providing multilingual, multicultural and multinational education.
  • The teacher collaborates with the class teacher and coordinates his pedagogical actions with the support assistant and support coordinator.
  • The teacher uses differentiated and appropriate teaching methods.
  • The teacher opts for the pedagogical strategies best suited to the pupil in consultation with the main or subject teacher and any professional working with the pupil.
  • The teacher records the achievements in order to have information available if necessary.
  • The teacher collaborates and endorses the instructions of the support coordinator and the Management.
  • The teacher attends class council meetings and any other pedagogical meetings.
  • Diploma: The candidate must be in possession of a diploma which allows a learning support function in the national system. All diplomas will be subject to validation by the National Inspector.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the different areas of learning disabilities;
  • Native Hungarian speaker or a level equivalent to a native speaker.
  • Good knowledge of at least one other vehicular language of the European Schools.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multilingual environment.
  • Ability to cooperate with parents, colleagues and management.
  • Good communication and pedagogical skills.
  • Good knowledge of the specificities of learning disabilities as well as the tools and adaptations to be promoted.
  • Good knowledge of the European Schools system.
  • Eligible to work in Belgium.
  • We offer a full-time contract (+- 16 hours per week).
  • Fixed-term contract : 1st September 2022 – 31st August 2024
