LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT ANALYST

You at AGC’s Technovation Centre – Sustainability and Product Stewardship
You will be based at our European Headquarters close to Brussels (Belgium)
You will act as an analyst for our Sustainability and Product Stewardship Department - a team of approximately 6 people passionate about environmental affairs in the following fields :
Sustainability roadmap consolidation and support;
Development of LCA and EPD, organization carbon footprint & products embodied carbon;
Product Stewardship (REACH, RoHS, etc);
Green Products, Eco-label certification (C2C), Green Building Certification Schemes;
Legislation compliance for processes and products (waste, water/air emissions including Climate Change policy and CO2 management in the EU ETS, …),

Your mission and day to day tasks
Your mission will focus on glass for the architectural sector and will involve mainly
Creating and maintaining LCA and EPD’s
Answering customers requests on sustainability (main contact person);
Updating the company carbon footprint and progress on its carbon roadmap.

Translating as follows in day to day :
Collect, check, analyse primary data
Quantify the environmental performances during different life stages of our products starting from R&D
Supporting our Sustainability projects teams to quantify and consolidate impacts on carbon and other environmental indicators
Provide customers with environmental transparency on recyclability, supply chain, packaging, transport, use and end-of-life.
Present our work
Discuss with suppliers
Follow up existing and future legislations on circularity

Your scientific profile
Civil engineer, master in bioengineerg, chemistry or related field (recent graduate or with a few years’ experience) - whatever the field, management of all basics in thermodynamics and chemistry
A love of crunching and analysing numbers
Strong affinity with industrial and operational processes: ability to translate them into models.
Relevant experience with LCA softwares (GaBi, SimaPro or others) or other other modelling softwares (Matlab, DesignBuilder, Trnsys etc)

You are an allrounder and recognize yourself in the following:
Multitasker, curious with a bias for action, perseverant and autonomous,
Rigourous troubleshooter with analytical skills
Willingness to work in a team, in interaction with different stakeholders in factories, research and marketing
Customer centric
Efficient and accurate communicator in multicultural environments: presentations, reports, discussions with peers inside or outside the company and in front of customers
Fluent in English (essential). Knowledge of French is a plus
Strong interest for environmental matters.
