Roles & Responsibilities

We help CFO’s & CEO’s to become business partners and to engage on strategic development to support their operational business by improving the business value and operations of their Finance functions.

Our Cost and Profitability Management team is looking for a Manager to expand its team and further support CFOs with achieving cost and profitability excellence.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Project management:
• Participate, lead, manage CFO Advisory and Cost and Profitability Management related assignments;
• Manages small teams to execute projects.
• Assist clients with practical recommendations and best practices to improve business and finance processes;
• Commercial management:
• Support business development, from lead identification to the presentation of pitches and proposals;
• Assist in the development of KPMG service offerings;
• People management:
• As a performance manager, manage, develop, motivate, train, and coach team members to maximize the achievement of their potential.
• You will coach and lead team member by example, in accordance with KPMG’s quality standards
• Develops expertise and knowledge of a variety of clients and markets, and awareness of KPMG’s service offerings.
• Builds on professional qualification by undertaking relevant functional or sector-specific training.
• Contributes to review(s) on completion of projects to identify lessons learned and enhance future quality and commercial planning.

Skills & Qualifications

• In possession of a master’s degree and have six to eight years of experience in either financial management consulting and/or as a (cost) controller within the Finance Function of a corporate environment.
• Previous experience with the strategy, design, and implementation of target operating models for costing in large corporate organizations.
• Familiarity with the different costing methods (standard costing, actual costing, marginal costing, activity-based costing, …) and understand their financial and business impact.
• Understands the relationship between the costing processes and other processes in finance and operations (accounting processes, budgeting, and planning, inventory valuation, management reporting, …)
• Previous experience with costing tools and systems (ERP, bespoke tooling, …).
• Next to academic qualifications and professional experience, we highly value other competencies, including;
