- Bachelor degree in chemistry, mechanics or automotive.
- Safety first mind. High awareness of chemical handling in terms of Safety & Health.
- Independent and autonomous, with hands-on mentality.
- Comfortable to work in a team.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch and French is an asset.
- Working experience on anti-corrosion technologies for the automotive industry is an asset.
- Interested in digital tools .
- Well-organised, accurate and punctual.

Research and Development (R&D) in Europe is responsible for the planning, development and production of attractive and superior quality cars matching European market requirements.
The evaluation tests simulate the lifetime of the vehicle in all environmental conditions that the materials will be exposed to, i.e. stress/strain, impact, corrosion, temperature cycle, humidity and so on.
Your responsibilities:
Your responsibility is planning and performing evaluations of vehicle materials and parts as following:
- Sample preparation for evaluation including spraying paint on test panels and parts.
- Evaluation, analysis and reporting of corrosion test on panels, parts and vehicles.
- Evaluation of paints, painted parts and chrome plated parts according to Toyota standards (decorative
- Evaluation of tapes, films and wraps used with decorative or protective function in the car.
- Evaluation of liquid paints using standard evaluation techniques.
- Chemical analysis of materials.
- Daily maintenance and usage of test equipment for corrosion testing and paints testing.
- Support engineers on competitor vehicles benchmark as well as in yearly corrosion field surveys.
- Reporting and presentation of test results.
