Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Project Materials Engineer to join the engineering dynamic team in the field of additive manufacturing for the development of state-of-the-art products and materials. You will provide support to companies regarding the use of composites and synthetic materials in a circular context.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • You will help companies to explore and implement their circular solutions (polymers, fibers, composites).
  • You are passionate about innovating by creating new materials, products, and testing facilities in companies or research laboratories.
  • You will monitor the latest technological developments in composites and synthetic materials in the research and business worlds and raise awareness among companies through various media channels.
  • You will be in contact with the latest additive manufacturing technologies

Profile / Requirements

  • Master’s degree in materials engineering
  • Solid grounding in the expertise of polymers and composite materials. You are familiar with industrial equipment and processes.
  • Affinity for the following additive manufacturing techniques : FDM, SLA, SLS, DLD, SLM
  • Proven experience in setting up projects with companies and knowledge partners.
  • Persuasive power needed to involve various partners in the implementation of projects.
  • Strong proficiency in English and French or Dutch (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Thinks outside the norm to develop new ideas
  • Proven ability to manage projects across the entire lifecycle, from initiation to completion
