As a Mechatronics & Equipment Engineer,you’ll work with a multidisciplinary team of experts in optics, mechanics, processes and systems to develop groundbreaking solutions for telecom applications.Your role involves supporting the Advanced Processing and Testing workstream for Datacenter connectivity applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage test setups for sample production and quality inspection, controlling linear stages and other mechatronics systems.
  • Acquire and analyze test data, providing actionable feedback to the advanced processing team.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to drive advanced technology development projects.
  • Identify tasks suitable for automation and propose solutions with the objective of reducing operator dependence and variations.
  • Maintain disciplined documentation practices, including plans, requirements, drawings, and test methods.
What we’re looking for

  • MS/PhD degree in mechatronic engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, experience with Creo is an asset.
  • Working experience with Python to control linear stages, read-out sensors, write analysis scripts and develop GUI.
  • Working experience with device-interfacing and controlling software such as LabView.
  • Experience in data processing & analysis and capability to deal with large amounts of data in an automated way.
  • Strong aptitude for hands-on engineering testing and experimentation in a lab environment.
  • Experience with optical fibers or other photonic applications is an asset.
  • Proficient in English.
