We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to join our client’s IT team. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT infrastructure solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and related cloud technologies. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative environment on projects that improve productivity, security, and scalability across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Administer Azure AD, Entra ID, and Conditional Access policies for secure identity and access management.
  • Oversee Active Directory (on-premises and hybrid) environments to ensure stability and security.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Manage endpoint security and compliance through tools such as Intune, Ivanti, or SCCM.
  • Support hybrid cloud integrations between Microsoft 365 and on-premises systems.
  • Configure and maintain servers, storage, and core infrastructure components.
  • Develop and enforce Group Policies to ensure consistent security standards.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive solutions.
  • Provide Tier 3 support and act as an escalation point for technical incidents.
Profile

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Proven expertise with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Entra ID, and Conditional Access.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, Ivanti, SCCM).
  • Familiarity with VMware or other virtualisation technologies.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols and enterprise storage systems.
  • Skilled in GPO management and deployment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and spoken.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a drive for continuous learning.
Practical

  • Fluency in English and Dutch required.
  • You’re able to work onsite, with some telework
