The core objective of this role is to lead and coach on the day to day activities of the group of Field Clinical Specialists as key members of the Commercial Organisation. Provide continuous tools and education to team members to ensure up to date industry, competitor and product knowledge. Actively support the division to achieve their annual sales targets. May coordinate with training teams on onboarding & training new members of the team and any other internal trainings

Key Responsibilities


  • FCS development: coach and lead the FCS CRM to obtain the necessary skills and competencies to elevate them to a higher clinical level by implementing a training plan and providing regular feedback during cotravel.
  • Physician training: Coordinate with FCS to conduct training for physicians on products and procedures; Design, develop and plan training programs for doctors, together with Marketing Manager/Business Unit Manager.
  • Clinical selling: Assist the FCS and sales team with hospitals in-lab-service; Follow through the initial procedures conducted by newly-trained doctors to assure successful outcome; Promote Best Demonstrated Practice among doctors and influence them to adapt it.
  • Advisor / expert of diseases and products: Act as Consultant for doctors by providing solutions to medical, clinical and technical questions; Recommend the best clinical solutions as part of product strategy; Responsible for all clinical aspects of product evaluation and clinical trials; Work closely with Marketing in developing training materials.
  • Market development - growing procedures through training and development of key centers/physicians: Assist Business Unit Manager/ Marketing Manager in assessment of potential new accounts; Make joint call with reps and provide in-lab-service at hospitals if necessary; Present solution advantages in hospital level workshops.
  • Sales training: Assist procedure and product training programs for the Commercial Teams; Act as a contact person with regional/international training function and ensure maximum effectiveness of the division’s sales effort; May train new hires whenever required and co-visit hospital and co-hold hospital level workshops.
  • KOL relationship maintaining: As key member of the national sales team, maintain KOL relationships and possible COE Centres
  • As interface to Clients and Customer Service has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaint or problem are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors. Drive as needed to support and facilitate any field corrective action related his/her scope.

Scope


Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of support and entry level professional employees. Monitors progress toward departmental goals; monitors costs of projects and human and material resources within a department or unit. Receives task-oriented work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review. Directs subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies.


Supervision Received


Works under general supervision. Receives limited supervision on standard issues, and detailed instructions on new assignments. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment, overall quality, efficiency and accuracy.


Supervision Provided


Provides direction and guidance to predominantly support and entry level professional personnel; assigns tasks, checks work at frequent intervals and maintains schedules. Evaluates performance of and assists in career development planning for subordinates.


Job Complexity


Works on issues of limited scope. Follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Monitors daily operations of a unit or sub-unit. Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility.


Policy Involvement


Administers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employees. Develops and/or identifies new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources within the assigned area or related departments.


Operations Involvement/Direct Work Involvement


Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. Investigates and solves basic problems that impact work processes and personnel within a unit or department. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing operational tasks of organizational units.


Project Involvement


May participate in department project teams.


Planning and Organization


Schedules human and material resources within a department or section in conjunction with near-term plans to ensure their availability; carries out operations within an established budget.


Impact


Assignments are expressed in the form of tasks; generally makes day-to-day decisions within established policies, procedures and guidelines in order to carry out the operations and processes selected at higher levels. Ensures that projects are completed on time following established procedures and schedules. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results might cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of more resources.


Influence and Leadership


Promotes department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable staff. Leads the activities of assigned staff by communicating and providing guidance towards achieving department objectives.


Liaison


Frequently interacts on internal basis with subordinates and supervisors at equivalent level or one level higher. Communication normally involves specific phases of a project or operation. External contacts are infrequent and involve routine matters, such as the exchange or presentation of factual information.
