Overview

The Patient Advocacy Manager, Europe will be responsible for establishing and managing a network of collaborative and mutually beneficial strategic Patient Advocacy Group (PAG) relationships across Europe. The Manager will take accountability for agreed PAG activities, delivered in line with relevant industry guidance, in business development and customer projects and will support IQVIA teams in both identifying opportunities to include patient voice in their work, and in managing team-owned relationships.

Working with the Head of Patient Advocacy, EMEA, the Patient Advocacy Manager will contribute to internal culture change, championing involvement of patient voice in all aspects of IQVIA’s work and will track the value that PAGs and patient voice add to the business, including revenue opportunities and other key metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of therapeutically aligned PAG networks by leading the creation, management and expansion of a Europe PAG network, including research, engagement, onboarding and contracting
  • Working with IQVIA teams across the business, leverage the Europe PAG network for IQVIA proposals, bids, projects and other revenue generating opportunities
  • Track Europe PAG network deliverables, metrics and KPIs, developing reports for the Head of Patient Advocacy, EMEA, project teams, senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Oversee and monitor day to day PAG activities where services have been engaged for project, proposal or other activities by IQVIA teams
  • Ensure that all activities involving the Europe PAG network are carried out within the parameters of established best practices for ethics, compliance, partnership structure, culture. Ensure adherence to relevant EU and ABPI guidance at all times
  • Manage the Patient Advocacy operating budget
  • Support internal culture change to put patient voice and needs at the forefront of IQVIA business by, using networking and influencing opportunities to promote inclusion of PAGs in activities across the IQVIA business
  • Represent IQVIA’s EMEA patient advocacy function externally, with customers and in and patient community forums
  • Manage reimbursement and sponsorship payments to PAGs made by IQVIA on behalf of the company or customers
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of PAG relationships in Salesforce or other CRM as required

Required Skills And Experience
  • Experience building relationships between PAGs and life sciences organisations, in either or both PAs or commercial organisation settings
  • Understanding of, and demonstrable experience of operating within, ABPI and EU guidelines for pharmaceutical and life sciences industry relationships with PAGs
  • Multiple European languages would be a significant advantage
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and project management skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
