Performance Excellence Manager

We are looking for a Performance Excellence Manager for our plant located in Heusden-Zolder !

Responsibilities :

• Understand the process capabilities related to the secondary zinc sourcing and define/implement trials (supporting the purchasing department).
• Identify and manage process improvement projects. Manage the material tracibility sytem to secure customer requirements.
• Build up and consolidate the process, product & technical knowledge of the plant, by working together with the people in the various departments.
• Ensure that the process design is safe and suitable for operation. Coach people on the field to respect health and safety rules. Increase safety awareness on the field.
• Technological support (deployment of knowledge and experience) in carrying out RCA studies and following up on points for improvement. Securing that the technological expertise is up-to-date.
• Draft and improve production regulations such as operating equipment, working methods, safety and environment and training production personnel. Maintain the instruction set so thas the plant is operating according the latest standards.
• Provide leadership to people of production and Maintenance. Lead teams in a perspective of HAZOP, Management of Change and Operational Excellence.
• Manage industrial projects. Supporting Safety & Environmental Officer with HAZOP studies.
• Lead Energy reduction and technology studies and translate findings into projects. Support production on a daily basis.
• Develop KPI dashboard
• Streamline primary and supporting processes. Developie KPI’s for measuring progress of all site activities. Solve problems in a structured and systematic way.

What to bring ?

· A master in chemistry/ mechanical engineering/...

· Several years of experience in a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment

· Affinity and experience with mechanical engineering/operation excellence

· Experience with the legislation of health and safety, the principles of Six Sigma

· Good communication skills (in Dutch and English)

· You have a solid technical basis and are also a real Team Player

· You take the initiative and are solution oriented
