Product Management Trainee

POLITICO is seeking a trainee to join our Product Managementteam in Brussels from April or May for a 6-month period.

The trainee will assist our team in further developing our product landscape to make sure POLITICO’s products deliver great value to our users, driving audience growth. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the business success of our products and the assessment of new opportunities.

What you’ll do

• Learn about general strategy around our products, specifically those that face a broader audience and are available free of charge, in order to deliver an outstanding user experience catering to the needs of our target groups
• Support in product development, both enhancing existing products and launching new ones, working closely with editorial, media solutions and marketing teams
• Assisting the team in the validation of market opportunities and developing new products and formats that align with company strategy
• Collecting customer feedback
• Monitoring of, and reporting on, KPIs for audience products
  

What you’ll need

• University degree in business, economics, marketing, sociology or similar
• First project management experience via studies or internships
• Comfort liaising with, and coordinating, a high number of stakeholders
• Great organizational and prioritization skills
• Strategic mindset with interest in data analysis and market research
• News savvy, enthusiastic about digital journalism and the political sphere
• Fluent command of English, written and spoken. Knowledge of French is a plus.
