At HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe, we deal with the sales, marketing and service of Construction Equipment and Material Handling Equipment in Europe. We have over 100 dealers in 30 countries in Europe, selling our world-class equipment and parts to clients. We deal with the sales and marketing of construction and material handling equipment across Europe and are constantly looking for motivated new colleagues to join our team.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Construction Equipment Sales Department as a Product Manager.
Role Brief
The Product Manager ensures market share growth and the profitability is in line with the company’s long-term plan. They will own the product line from the development stage until fade out. In addition, they will be responsible for taking ownership of their own product group across the board (A-Z/ 360 degrees), ensuring HD Hyundai has the correct product, well-structured pricing, and a highly impactful product marketing strategy across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- The incoming Product Manager will constantly maintain/update/extend the product lines under responsibility in line with the requirements coming from the dealer network and HD Hyundai’s global product management department. This will be driven/ aligned to market dynamics/ demands.
- The ability to manage regular volume forecasting in collaboration with the regional sales teams across Europe is essential.
- Developing and maintaining accurate machine pricing and profitability across Europe for the Product Manager’s product portfolio.
- Development and execution of the local marketing strategies including promotional campaign management with close alignment with the dealers and sales teams.
- The incoming Product Manager must be able to take ownership of the Product group and drive key interests/ influence decision making for the European region into the global product management function in Korea. It’s essential they have strength of character and know when to push back on HQ in diplomatic style whilst achieving results.
- Full responsibility for supporting dealer network and HD Hyundai CE internal stakeholders on all product related matters for their respective product portfolio.
- Preparation of manuals to support the dealer sales training and to ensure the correct level of education and strategic direction on products.
- Organizing product training sessions for sales forces and internal colleagues.
- Close interaction with HD Hyundai HQ on product improvement and future portfolio strategy. The ability to build robust cases to justify decision making and drive the correct commercial strategy is critical (all backed up by well structured market data and analysis).
- Manage the launch of new models within your product groups including:
- Close interaction with dealers to provide product related information during important tenders and deals.
- Proactive in initiating competitive testing projects.
- Close participation in dealer events and exhibitions.
Profile
- Technical or commercial degree, combined with minimum 4-7 years plus of relevant experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related industry.
- Strong interest in Product Management, combined with a technical and commercial mindset.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing highly successful product management strategies within CE market or other closely aligned sectors.
- Collaborative style with broad international exposure. Must be comfortable within complex business structures and be able to work with significant autonomy/ exposure.
- Highly entrepreneurial and attracted to a fast-moving business environments in scale-up mode. The ability to be comfortable within unstructured businesses that require a more structured approach from an incoming Product Manager is critical.
- You are a proactive, self-starting, and hands-on person.
- You are not afraid to speak in front of an audience and you are fluent in English and ideally French or German.
- You are willing to travel from time to time throughout Europe to visit our dealers and assist during fairs.
