In this global role as Product Owner Product Service at TUI, you will work as part of a team of product owners partnering with technology teams to deliver a holiday production capability that maximizes automation, whilst enabling us to configure holidays to the needs of our customers such that we maximize sales.


ABOUT THE JOB

  • Pro-actively contribute to a compelling Product Vision and Strategy using stimulus such as the Markets Strategy, stakeholders’ needs, competitor activity and external best practice (incl. risk/compliance/ security).
  • Communicate the overall strategy and goals for your Product to your Product team with support from your Lead Product Owner.
  • Define, develop and prioritize the product backlog and roadmap for your product team, to increase engagement, conversion and other KPIs.
  • Translate high-level product roadmap into achievable product backlog items. Provide insight for defining and planning the overall Product Roadmap based on specialized knowledge in your area.
  • Use all data sources available to understand the different user behaviors across markets to improve user experience, and highlight under-performance of metrics and develop plans in the roadmap and backlog in conjunction with the Lead Product Owner.
  • Liaise with a variety of key stakeholders in development and business areas, building strong working relationships
  • Understand TUI’s Holiday products. Use this insight to inform and influence plans and development around KPIs.
  • Ensure TUI’s product backlog maintains a healthy balance between new and innovative capabilities with market onboarding and optimization.

ABOUT YOU

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, in depth tour operating knowledge is a clear plus.
  • An understanding of Agile, and able to manage a product backlog.
  • Ability to translate high level business requirements into business solutions and to work with technology teams to clarify solutions at a detailed level and validate designs.
  • Ability to understand more complex data models, understand and interpreting such models in a range of forums.
  • Strong analysis skills to be able to visualize and map out how data will move through systems and how changes in data will be handled.
  • Good commercial and decision-making skills (able to input into Ideation and Roadmaps), great communication skills, and great interpersonal and influencing skills to motivate a team.
  • Able to contribute to making clear and well-thought recommendations to influence decisions, and confident to make decisions, even when all the desired data may not be available.
  • Knows how to translate business problems into user stories and how to write them.
