The Processing Manager is responsible for strategy, management and daily operations of the Processing Department. The scope of the position includes the Aseptic Tank Farm, the thawing/crushing room, the blending room, the pasteurizers & chemicals storage room. The job incumbent is also responsible for the receiving and storage of bulk aseptic juice from bulk tanker ships and trucks, and for the quality and quantity of the blended, pasteurized juice.

Accountabilities:

  • Prepare and co-develop the strategy for the department and translate it into concrete objectives and operational action plans
  • Management of Processing in terms of people, safety, productivity, quality, sustainability and service
  • Support the delivery of the plant’s AOP by delivering on key KPI’s for the department
  • Manage daily operations by setting goals, progress follow-up and addressing escalated technical/operational problems in cooperation with production planning, maintenance, …
  • Assist in the implementation of new products in Zeebrugge in cooperation with R&D, assist in tests and commissioning’s of new technologies, investments, …
  • Coach, motivate, develop and evaluate the team as well as detect training needs and requirements in order to make the best use of competencies, skills and know-how and have a well-functioning team.

Profile:

  • Minimum Industrial Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in operations
  • Technical experience and insights in processing and automation (beverages, chemicals, …)
  • Team management experience (white + blue collars)
  • Analytical skills (quantitatively as well as qualitatively)
  • Knowledge of microbiology and hygiene (HACCP) is a plus
  • Knowledge of sterile processes and aseptic technology is a plus
  • Languages : Dutch, active English
