Project manager of ICT projects in the R&D³ program under the Smartfab initiative.

Our client is looking for a Project manager within our SmartFab program with a focus on project with data for the R&D community. This position is important to our mission of enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our R&D teams through the strategic offering of R&D data and capabilities. The projects are in the context of our Azure data platform, where we develop and use the latest technologies in data engineering and data science to help our researchers go from raw data to insights. Our R&D data initiative is called “R&D³”, which stands for R&D Data Dream: the dream of every researcher to have all the date they need at their fingertips. The R&D³ program is a part of our Smartfab initiative. The projects that need to be managed concern the onboarding of data from more cleanroom tools onto our data platform and concern the building of more interfaces and use cases for our researchers. The projects are executed together with our data engineers, our front-end engineers, our solution architect and our R&D key users. The Project Manager is end-to-end responsible for the preparation & successful realization/delivery of the projects/features assigned to him/her in line with the project objectives, scope, budget & timeline as defined in the project charter. The project manager also helps to define and shape new project charters for new projects together with the key users and solution architects. To ensure successful delivery of the project, the ICT Project Manager coordinates and monitors all aspects of the project, including stakeholder- and change management, in line with the project methodology and deliverables as defined by our client.

• Define and maintain an up-to-date comprehensive committed project plan which identifies project deliverables, work breakdown structure & planning, resources, risks & dependencies.
• Coordinate, motivate, encourage, facilitate, and support the project team members in achieving the project objectives.
• Manage/coordinate ICT Vendors (software, hardware & consultancy) who are involved in the project.
• Ensure the required project governance is put in place and ensure project team meetings and steercos are organized regularly.
• Bring key elements for decision making to the steerco, indicating the impact and presenting potential alternatives.
• Manage and regularly report project progress, budget, risks & issues to the ICT Business Partner & Team Leader, to whom you’ll report, as well as to the ICT PMO Manager.
• Ensure the project is executed in line with agreed standards & methodology (e.g. quality gating, testing release to production, ...).
• Ensure that the necessary change management actions are taken (communication, training, post go-live support, ...).
• Ensure upon project delivery the knowledge transfer and handover to operations is done before closing the project.
• Be the single point of contact for the project for both internal and external customers.

• You have a master’s degree, preferably in computer science or engineering.
• We value your extensive track record in project and change management, and project delivery.
• You have a background in project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2 & SAFe), processes and techniques that you apply in a pragmatic way.
• You are a team player and with your no-nonsense attitude, you coordinate your team to get the job done.
• Your strong data analytic skills enable you to interpret and make recommendations in terms of planning, budgeting, problem solving, etc.
• As an experienced Project Manager, you are a communication superstar, building strong relationships with all kinds of stakeholders across the client.
• You have an open mind and a fluent knowledge of English.
• You feel comfortable in a complex and demanding environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools, such as SharePoint, Teams, PowerApps, OneDrive,... is a must and with Azure DevOps an important plus.
